I thought it was a flip up type license plate . I had it installed with the winch and winch bumper .. since residing in New Jersey I had to have a front & rear license plate while driving . I’ll have to try and modify it since winch bumper is installed and I will not try and take it off just to replace a license plate bracket . I would recommend to future customers a flip up license plate bracket .
